Thu, Nov 12 | Thirning Villa

From the window to the street

Both our practices meet in the street. In the familiarity of a stroll through local neighbourhoods or a walk along the unwalkable, in these urban spaces lies many layers of visual repetition and in the repetition, rhythm. Each rhythm tells a story or makes a declaration.

Both our practices meet in the street. In the familiarity of a stroll through local neighbourhoods or a walk along the unwalkable, in these urban spaces lies many layers of visual repetition and in the repetition, rhythm.

Each rhythm tells a story or makes a declaration. This show operates as a chink or glimpse into some of these stories, reconfiguring interesting urban fragments together in new assemblages using, paint, objects and print.

Our making and walking happens on the lands, sky and waters of the Gadigal, Wangal & Bediegal peoples. We pay our respect to elders past and present. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Please note only 8 patrons are allowed to be in the exhibition space at any time. Patrons are welcome to join us on the porch for refreshments. Please be aware of physical distancing. Hand sanitiser and hand washing amenities will be available.
